The output from keepassxc-cli is parsed into key-value pairs and cached so calling. However, I dislike this setup, as it means I have to duplicate data, when it is clearly supposed to be a reference. keepassxc returns structured data for entry using keepassxc-cli. I have been playing with KeePassXC but my number one complaint is the ability for end users to just copy the database anywhere they want. LastPass shenanigans aside I am looking to spin up something in-house. Not only could I use keepassxc as my password manager, I could also use it to store bookmarks. You know, for the elebenty bazillion sites that we developers and operations people have for reference. We have been using LastPass for our PW storage. I would love it if keepassxc could give me multiple URL's on Entry page. My current workaround is to keep the password of the first entry duplicated in an attribute of the second entry. Sorry for the low level question, I am a lowly sysadmin for a company with 130 users. ![]() Write it down, and put the note somewhere safe. This will generate an excellent password for you. Click on the Passphrase-tab, and increase the word count to 8. However, when I inserted as the attribute value, it would literally print those characters and not resolve the reference. To have KeePassXC generate a database master password, click on the dice to the right of the Confirm password input field. This succeeded, as in autotype inserted whatever the attribute was. As far as Im aware, you cant have 1 entry with multiple usernames. I also attempted to create a local attribute, which I could reference as. The dropdown just allows you to select a username youve used before a little more easily. Here is what I tried: KeepassXC complained that this was invalid syntax. The integrated search function allows to search. Furthermore the entries are sorted in groups, which are customizable as well. For a better management user-defined titles and icons can be specified for each single entry. For reference, I have managed to create a KeePassXC database, and I programmed slot 1a of the OnlyKey to input the password and return after input. user names, passwords, urls, attachments and comments in one single database. ![]() So far, I have solved this by having two different Keepass entries, in which one holds the username, and the other references it, via when attempting to set up auto-type for the field in which both passwords A and B are needed, I can't seem to reference the password during the autotype sequence. KeePassX saves many different information e.g. ![]() On some fields I have to enter password A, on some I have to enter password B, and on some I have to enter A and B. I have a strange situation, in which a user has two different passwords. However, these sites share the same username and password. It would be good if a single entry can be cloned to a copy, which would still use the original username and password entry, so that the user does not have to maintain multiple entries in case of password change.
